The Chenjesu were the unofficial leaders of the Alliance of Free Stars.  The biology of their homeworld lead them to experiment with a sort of silicon-based "biotechnology." 

    Variances in certain impurities present in the silicon created wildly different colors in the chenjesu Broodhomes.  The batch depicted here was a rather unspectacular gray color.  They employed the usual exploding crystal shards, as well as the D. O. G. I.  The resemblance to Androsynth bubbles and Mycon plasmoids in this instance is entirely superficial.
