I can't say enough how excited I am about The Universes of E . E . Smith , by Ron Ellik and Bill Evans.  The majority of this 272 page book is devoted to an exhaustively researched concordance to the Lensman novels (and The Vortex Blaster ).  It contains entries on everything from Abab (A planet of the long-period variable star Dunlie, near Ploor; sister-planet to Dunster (COL 240).) to Zyzmol (A Martian product, advertised as "bottled ecstasy" (FL 52).).  The best place online to find it seems to be Barnes and Noble.
